Driver registration

In order to attend HolyDrift Festival as a driver, you have to get accepted as a driver.
You will get notified by email by the HolyDrift team responsible for the drivers and competition.

Driver regulations

GENERAL GUIDELINES
These guidelines are typically communicated to drivers during the pre-event briefing, conducted in the presence of track officials and judges. Typically, there are three judges assigned to oversee specific sections of the track or criteria for each run, as agreed upon beforehand.
Judges work closely with track officials to supervise and monitor track activity.

TRACK RULES
Engaging in drifting beyond the designated area and warm-up zone is not allowed. Failure to comply will result in penalties for the driver. A starting flag will be employed to initiate the start procedure.
QUALIFICATION RUN
To participate in Tandem battles, every driver must first qualify. Each driver undergoes two qualification runs, which are then scored. The rankings on the leaderboard are determined by the higher score obtained from these two runs. In the event of multiple drivers achieving the same score, the total sum of points from both runs will be used to determine their position.
If a driver commits any of the following mistakes during the qualification run, it may be deemed incomplete and scored as 0 points:

1. General rules

  • 1.1 All information for Driver registration must be correct.

2. BEHAVIOR

  • 2.1 The media vest may not be used by anyone other than the person for whom it is accredited.
  • 2.2 You yourself are responsible for taking good care of your media vest. The vests must be handed in to the official HolyDrift media responsible. The vest must be returned by the person to whom it is accredited. The last deadline to return the vest is the last day before the end of the event.
  • 2.3 The media vest must always be worn when you are on the field, including other areas that are not accessible without the vest.
  • 2.4 Other unauthorized press vests or your own media vest may ONLY be used after confirmation by the HolyDrift media responsible.
  • 2.5 If a person does not return a HolyDrift media vest, that person will be invoiced a fee of 1,500 SEK.

3. Track & Paddock

  • 3.1 Engaging in drifting beyond the designated area and warm-up zone is not allowed. Failure to comply will result in penalties for the driver.
  • 3.2 Red flags will exclusively be utilized on the track. When waved, drivers must cease drifting immediately and proceed slowly to the finish line.
  • 3.3 During battles, the red flag will serve as the signal for race restarts. If a restart is necessary, drivers should decelerate gradually and return to the starting point in the opposite direction.
  • 3.4 Speed outside the designated drift track must not exceed 10 km/h, while within the paddock area, the maximum speed limit is set at 5 km/h.

It depends on what you want to do:

  • If you only want to drive during the Open Lane (free driving) sessions, which take place each day—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—then you only need an Open Lane ticket.
  • If you want to compete in one or both competitions at HolyDrift, you will need an Open Lane ticket plus the Competition Add-On. This allows you to enjoy free driving and take part in the competition(s) of your choice.

Yes, having the Competition Add-On gives access to both competitions.

The maximum team size is 6: 1 Driver, 2 Crew from the base ticket, plus up to 3 additional crew members.
